The end of the year is always a magical time. Aside from all the bright lights and Christmas deco that make for a pretty spectacle (not forgetting all the festive sales that are really starting to burn a hole in my pocket, and I haven’t even started on gift shopping!), I always get a tad bit nostalgic. It is a time for reflection, for spending with loved ones, and for looking back at the year.
When 2015 first rolled in, I knew it would be a tough year ahead. I’ll admit my heart was slowly breaking apart. I was uncertain about what was to come, though in my gut, I knew things didn’t look so rosy.
Nonetheless, looking back, I wouldn’t change anything. I think a true marker that you’ve had a good year is when at this point of time, you’re in a much happier place than you were at the same time last year.
At this time last year, I felt hollow. But right now, I can safely say:
My heart is so full.
